RSPCA Scunthorpe
Caring for animals in Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire since our founding.
Rehoming and Adoption
We rehome cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals who are looking for their forever homes. Every animal in our care receives veterinary treatment, is assessed for temperament and comes with full support to help you settle them into your family.
Our experienced team will guide you through the adoption process to ensure the right match between you and your new companion. We offer advice for adopters and ongoing support after you take your pet home.
- Dog kennels available for sponsorship
- Cat pods providing comfortable temporary housing
- Fostering opportunities for those who can offer short-term care
Pet Care and Welfare Advice
We provide expert guidance on caring for pets and wildlife. Whether you have questions about cats, dogs, horses, rabbits or other animals, our resources cover health, behaviour, nutrition and seasonal considerations.
Our advice extends to farm animals and wildlife including badgers, birds, deer, foxes and hedgehogs. We offer seasonal guidance for spring, summer, autumn and winter to help you keep animals safe year-round.
- Cost-of-living support for pet owners facing financial difficulty
- Pet insurance options to protect your companion
- Welfare information across all species
Rescue and Investigation
If you have concerns about an animal in distress or potential cruelty, you can report it to us. Our inspectors investigate allegations of mistreatment and work to rescue animals from dangerous situations.
We prosecute cases of deliberate cruelty and neglect, working within the legal system to protect animals and prevent future suffering. Our work combines immediate rescue response with long-term prevention through education and advocacy.
Veterinary and Rehabilitation Services
Animals arriving at our centre receive full veterinary assessment and treatment. We provide medical care, rehabilitation and a safe environment for recovery before rehoming or release.
Our wildlife centres specialise in treating injured wild animals with the goal of releasing them back to their natural habitat. For domestic animals, we offer financial assistance to owners struggling to afford veterinary care and a Home for Life programme for animals who need permanent sanctuary.

Your donations directly fund our rescue work, veterinary care and rehoming services. You can give as a one-off gift, set up a monthly contribution, remember us in your will or arrange payroll giving through your employer.
We offer Gift Aid on eligible donations, maximising the value of your support. Legacy gifts provide long-term security for our work. We also run a lottery and raffle with proceeds supporting animal welfare.

Campaigns and Advocacy
We campaign to change laws and improve conditions for animals across the UK and internationally. Our current campaigns address issues including chicken welfare standards, clearer food labelling, ending breed-related suffering, fireworks regulations and air quality for animals.
By raising awareness and pushing for legislative reform, we work to prevent cruelty before it happens and create a society where all animals are treated with respect and compassion.
